Skate Park(er): Pictures

Nestled in the midst of beautiful Parker, Colorado, lies a rather unexpected entity – one Bad-A**, city-sponsored skate park. At first I held serious doubt about whether or not the two-and-four wheelin’ dynamos present would open up to a long-haired, camera-totin’ nobody such as myself – but boy o’ boy how they shined. It was a fascinating experience to witness such boldness and bravery from such a young crowd. Often wincing at their achieved height (and sometimes at their respective wipeouts) I realized we were all playing our appropriate parts beautifully: Them, soaring high into the air for the world to watch, and me, standing off on the side of safety, clicking away in relative safety.
