Oh Joy … Toy Joy!: Pictures

“Keep Austin Weird”
The city doesn’t just print bumper stickers of the term, it flatout lives it. Long-haired hippies and tie-bound business men dine together at Austin Java or organic-fair-trade-mint-mochas, dogs unite on an island of their very own at Red Bud Park, and the ever famous Leslie parades himself around Sixth Street as the city’s iconic symbol of thong-clad-and-darn-proud-of-it homelessness. Amerrrr’ericah at its finest.
Heck, even our toy stores are flat-out weird. A recent trip to one of my favorite stores, Toy Joy on 29th and Guadalupe, fully confirmed this fact. Although I only snapped a few shots, they’re probably enough to give you the idea that, “Wow, I need to visit this place”. And yes, yes you do.
