Welcome to My Online World
Posted on 17. Aug, 2009 by Corey Mac.
Thank you for taking the time to stumble upon my online world. I developed this site to offer better insight into my personal life as well as professional endeavors. More importantly, I hope to reignite existing relationships while fostering the growth for ones to come.
The links at the top of my site will direct you to static web pages – ones that offer a glimpse into who I am, what I do, and also various ways to stay in touch. Whether through email, Twitter or RSS, I would love to hear from you and stay connected. The links directly under my pretty logo relate to blog categories (more to come soon).
The body of the site itself features a chronological listing of blog entries I pen from time to time. For now they are comprised of various photo libraries, but there is much more to come. Interviews with top minds in new media, advice for entrepreneurial ventures and discussion questions will eventually fill the screen, as well.
Have fun exploring the pages, get a little nosey with my life (don’t worry, I encourage it), and always feel free to stay in touch with any thoughts, comments or questions you have along the way.
Be Happy,
Corey Hartford

San Dee-ah-go

The lovely city of San Diego lies just two hours south of my Santa Monica abode (or 6.5 hours south if you hit the 405 anytime between 4am and 9pm). About a fortnight back I made a jaunt to the ol’ SD in order to crash my brother’s family vacation, bringing the trusty Nikon along [...]

Recordings: Been Too Long

Life is funny sometimes. For example, my friend Alex and I were like *this* (fingers crossed) when we were growing up. From kindergarten to eighth grade we attended the same school, crashed the same parties, and generally went about life as good ol’ friends. High school diverted our paths until, without us knowing at the [...]

Kickin’ it Vaudeville Style in Austin, Texas
Posted on 30. Sep, 2009 by Corey Mac.
August is a great month in Texas for two reasons. First, the pool at my childhood home, which is predominately covered by large trees and thus confined to bone-rattling temperatures throughout most of the year, becomes an enjoyable and temperate 75 degrees (with credit bestowed upon Houston’s kind offering of endless 104 degree days). Secondly, [...]

Although I earned my Master degree in Entertainment Management, I found throughout my studies that the fields of social and new media were calling my name. Since then I have focused my academic studies and professional endeavors toward interactive marketing, web development, and product/project management. As I am continuously seeking new learning opportunities and challenges, [...]

No Good Reason – Punk-Pop Fusion
Posted on 30. Aug, 2009 by Corey Mac.
Just a few days before my big 2-6 celebration, I had the liberty of catching one particularly pumped-up band in the tucked-away-but-you-should-check-it-out brew house known as the Celtic Pub in Parker, Colorado. Running by the name of No Good Reason, this power trio kicks out tunes you definitely know, but in ways you most definitely [...]

Early Recordings: The Drive Home

Funk … I love it. You know, all that “bow-chicka-wow-wow” goodness – yeah, that’s the good stuff. Like 13.2 million other fourteen year old boys, Jimmy Page inspired me to pick up my very first guitar. However, it was funk – with its tasty syncopated licks and righteous ‘wah’ action – that really managed to [...]

Skate Park(er)
Posted on 29. Aug, 2009 by Corey Mac.
Nestled in the midst of beautiful Parker, Colorado, lies a rather unexpected entity – one Bad-A, city-sponsored skate park. At first I held serious doubt about whether or not the two-and-four wheelin’ dynamos present would open up to a long-haired, camera-totin’ nobody such as myself – but boy o’ boy how they shined. It was [...]
